Why would this whale shark be so low in the water column? A. They hunt on the sea floor, much like eagle rays. B. It has a strong tactile sense and enjoys the feel of the sand against its skin. C. It’s looking for a place to sleep. Whale sharks sleep for 11-13 hours a day.
