First day of student teaching 🍎 Had the best first day with the sweetest 1st graders. They did a portrait of themselves on their first day and an About Me activity. Then I read First Day Jitters and they colored and wrote about their feelings on the first day of school.

Some Library days are chaotic or dont go as planned or we have trouble following procedures… Today, though, was 1 of the GOOD days. Nothing special or exciting, just students treating our space w/ kindness & care. Lots of smiles & new books. Those days are worth documenting 🥰💜
