I am currently reading Scapegoat by Katharine Quarmby, it's absolutely wild how historical views of disabled people are still so embedded in our society today. From seeing disabled people as something to sacrifice to the language still used around disability.

Calling all white disabled people: it's not ok to compare the progession of our rights to Black and POC rights. Often when I see these comments made it's alluding to the idea that POC are now equal and racism results in outrage and ableism doesn't. It's not ok.
