The clouds have thinned and scattered into three well spaced days over the next week and a half. I don’t know why I should regret this warm weather that keeps my legs spry and limber.

I saw the Egyptian pair beyond the major Canada gaggle. I walked down to the locust plague of wigeons until Musky and his cousin appeared, along with Spotty and friend.

Before emptying my bag, I headed up to make sure the Egyptians got a little. They were too near a pair of Canada geese, one honking like a ‘39 Packard.

The hedge trimmers battery was charged and I put on long sleeves to avoid more scratches. I almost made a full circle around the outer part of the overgrown bush, but a falling branch knocked a lens from my glasses.

Tomorrow, in addition to the sleeves, I will wear an old pair of glasses and a cap with a visor. youtu.be/6Wu9xh71d2g?si…

The warm weather has already brought back the morning glories. Today will be nearly 80 again, then tomorrow starts the slow decline toward temperatures more appropriate to the season.

A flock of geese were circling around to the north, either descending towards the a water feature on the other course, or heading for the flooded gravel quarry. We’re all puppies in the gravel pit in this blessed day.

The outdoor decorations are gone, but I still light the tree every evening. When I’ve taken my glasses off I see it’s covered with astigmatic jujube drupe fruit jewels of many colors.

It would be nice to set up a tree in our 9000 year old ADU in Anatolia. We could festoon it with strings of baked clay wampum beads.

There are no electric lights, but polished obsidian mirrors are available to reflect oil lamp light onto the tree. A little ground mineral could color the flame. youtu.be/VxxiJ-3-BY8?si…
