Our work on high-performance GPU kernel for Tucker decomposition based convolutions has been accepted in PPoPP '23. The work is based on the observation-many DNN model compression methods only reduce theoretical FLOPS rather than practical runtime. arxiv.org/abs/2211.03715

One year has gone by so quickly... This year, 3 papers are accepted by ACM ICS'23. Congratulations to my students Boyuan Zhang and Chengming Zhang! So far this year, we have 1 HPDC, 3 ICS, 1 PPoPP, 1 AAAI, and 1 VLDB papers published/accepted! Not a bad year compared to 2022 ;-P

Exciting new NSF grants: Dingwen Tao, associate professor of ISE, is IU's primary PI on a $3.2M grant around cyberinfrastructure. Xiaojing Liao and Luyi Xing, assistant professors of computer science, also received a $150k grant to study security & privacy of mobile apps.
