Excercise to build your "AI manager skill": Try different OpenRouter models in Visual Studio Code against common tasks, like frontend design, notebook data analysis, and debugging tests. Amazing how different their outcomes can be; from design taste, creativity, code structure, etc.

MCP broke my brain a little because it rethinks the entire workflow. Debug, diagnose and file the issue with Playwright and GitHub MCP. All from agent mode in Visual Studio Code. What are you using MCP for beyond code?

🥳 MCP Prompts and Resources landed in Visual Studio Code Insiders. I have not seen wide adoption; beyond a few reference servers; so I am curious to hear: Reply with your favorite agent workflow that this unlocks 🙏

Claude Sonnet 4 is rolling out to Visual Studio Code developers!

We asked a few of our Visual Studio Code devs what their favorite announcement from Microsoft Build was. Spoiler: they’re very excited about this one.

Nr 1 MCP pain point 🩹. VS Code just landed support for both the improved draft oauth spec with fallback to the current stable spec. 👀 David Soria Parra

🙌🏻 The Joy of OSS Visual Studio Code.

Starting MCP Developers Summit with the deep topics from David Soria Parra , including the one half the audience came here for: 🔐 auth. Love how many talks touch on MCP-beyond-tools: The primitives servers should apply (and clients must implement) to deliver the promise of MCP!

What’s next for the Model Context Protocol by Jerome Swannack? 🔥 Scaling specs with LLMs (elicitation + tool output schema incoming) ⚒️ Dev ecosystem focus 🔎 Server discoverability 🤝 Governance questions ahead Exciting open collaboration in the AI stack!

OAuth server for your #MCP server supports device code flow? No problem, it's an option to authenticate 🚀 In tomorrow's insiders we try: * protocol handlers: vscode://.... * loopback server (localhost) * device code flow Visual Studio Code's getting the most robust MCP auth support 🚀

Heads down with prep to blow minds during AI Engineer's MCP track … 🧩 Full Spectrum MCP: Uncovering Hidden Servers and Clients Capabilities Later that day doing a hands-on session in the expo, showing VS Code's latest customizations to vibe coding at scale. 👋 Cya there.
