We need tighter regulation on cycling to prevent this sort of thing happening. Perhaps some sort of mandatory training and a licence, and maybe even insurance and an additional tax.

Shortly before 9am on October 29th, #OttawaOPP responded to a collision on #Hwy416, south of Brophy Drive. A vehicle had rear ended a crash truck in a construction zone. The driver of the at fault vehicle was transported by Ornge with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

He’s starting with lanes in Toronto, but all are at risk, including Ottawa. We need to stand up for everyone who uses lanes, benefits from cyclists shopping along the routes, and all those who will be too afraid to ride because of the increased danger. See you there! #ottbike
