Our apprenticeship system is world-leading.

Not only are they across nearly 70% of occupations, but they are also available for all ages over 16.

I'm delighted that 5.8 million people have now used an apprenticeship to launch their career, get promoted or retrain since 2010.

Labour: 'the Conservatives childcare expansion won't work...we need to move away from the hours model...we'll have a childcare plan like the creation of the NHS'.

As promised, 150,000 children and their parents are now benefitting from the first stage of this Government's expansion of childcare.

By September 2025, working families will be able to benefit from 30 hrs a week from when their children are 9 months old until they start school.

But this is only the start, with thousands more families benefitting in the months ahead as we deliver the largest expansion of childcare in our country's history.

🚨Labour have finally admitted they would scrap our childcare plans.

This would cause huge uncertainty for working parents who are set to save £6,900 a year.

But yet again, they’ve refused to say what their plan is.

Only the Conservatives have a plan to back working parents.

Today we announce the allocation of £850 million to local authorities, part of our £2.6 billion investment to transform the SEND system, which will help to create up to 60,000 new special school places.

A pleasure to be at the English Hubs Literacy Specialist National Conference yesterday. Reading success unlocks the rest of the curriculum, as well as a love of books. English Hubs are helping achieve this at thousands of schools around the country.

New data shows that 90% of our schools are now rated good or outstanding in England, up from just 68% in 2010.

That is thanks to our fantastic teachers and the evidence-based reforms we've taken.
