My contributor's copy of the Bristol Short Story Prize Winners anthology. When I read the Intro and the bios of some of the writers, I am more astounded than ever that I won in 2022. All profits to charity. Available from Tangent Books

Back from a few days at wonderful Tŷ Newydd Literature Wales for a fiction re-boot led by @cynan1975 and Vanessa Gebbie Great staff, great tutors, great group of lovely people (@AnthonyShapland ) And a beautiful cat! Thank you, all!

A bike ride in the sun took me near to St Edren's church, the setting for my 2022 Bristol Short Story Prize winning story. It's a private house now. Glad there is no sign of my 3 girls on the roof - just some aerials. The grass in the churchyard used to be a cure for rabies.

Delighted to be taking part in this event at Chapter One bookshop, Narberth Museum on October 12, for Bookshop Day. Do come along, if you can - an interesting mix and Philippa Davies always gets things going! narberthmuseum.co.uk/so-youd-like-t…

Fantastic to hear that Botanical Short Stories was popular and sold out! So proud to have a story in it!

Thank you Chapter One for putting on such a great series of events to celebrate #bookshopday . It was a pleasure to be one of the writers in the 'So you'd like to Write a Book?' workshop. Thanks, also, to Philippa Davies for organising and to all those who came.

V pleased my story 'Haire' has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize by the lovely editors at Sans. PRESS . Thanks so much. It's in their 'Stranger' anthology (avail from their website). It's my 2nd nomination (1st was by @ArachnePress for 'Ballast') Gtly appreciated.

This is very exciting! Thank you The History Press and @EmmaTimpany for editing and Sarah Jane Humphrey for her beautiful illustrations!
