This morning I welcomed Acting Secretary Chad Wolf Acting Secretary Chad Wolf to Cyprus. Looking forward to advancing the U.S.-Republic of Cyprus relationship during his visit.

Had an opportunity to see firsthand the UN Buffer Zone in #Cyprus. The U.S. Government supports efforts to reunify the island as a bizonal, bicommunal federation.

Yesterday, I signed a Declaration of Intent on Border Security and Management with Minister NikosChristodoulides of #Cyprus to better collaborate on countering threats from terrorism, transnational organized crime and trafficking, and irregular migration.

Thank you to Chargé d’Affaires Maggie Nardi and the Embassy Country Team in Bahrain for facilitating this very important visit – and for your work every day to see so many of our initiatives come to fruition.

Honored to speak with our Coast Guard Patrol Forces Southwest Asia (PATFORSWA) in Bahrain today. These brave men and women partner with NAVCENT everyday to ensure the Arabian Gulf is as safe and secure as possible in order to protect our national and regional interests.
