Our grade 3/4 class celebrates their unique identities through art.

The 10 days of Giving Food Drive has started Emma King ES. The school is collecting canned goods and non perishable items.

Grade 5 to 8 students enjoyed learning about Indigenous culture and history with SCDSB_IndigenousEd

Due to the forecast for severe weather in our region & the potential for poor road conditions, all SCDSB schools & facilities, incl. child care centres, will be closed to students & staff tomorrow, Dec. 23. Students may access asynchronous learning through their digital platform.

Gr5 Science STEAM task today Emma King ES. Marshmallow Spaghetti Tower Challenge. Great task to work on collaboration and discover what Internal Forces are acting on a structure.

STEAM building day for gr5 Emma King ES. Today we built Suspension Bridges. Tomorrow students will test how internal and external forces act when a load is placed on their bridge.

Yesterday Emma King ES gr5 tested our Suspension Bridges. We investigated how they would hold up to internal and external forces. We simulated a wind storm and an earthquake and added a live load of cars.

Today Emma King ES Gr5 built Arch Bridges in the snow to see if they would hold the weight of sports equipment and each other. Fun in the 🌞.

The Emma King ES junior trip today has been cancelled due to weather. Efforts are being made to reschedule and information will be shared once more details are figured out.
