The best black swan you can play for in your career is to join an early stage startup that you believe in, while you stil can afford to do so. If the startup fails, the worst that can happen is that you fail upwards, because of everything you learned vs a corporate job.

Speaking to a new client last week, I mentioned she should watch @DeepMind’s AlphaGo Movie to learn more about AI, she came back buzzing about how inspiring the movie was and how it helped her “see the light” for the construction industry. Very cool use of Netflix.

Pretty crazy that in 2023, the only way to cancel a digital subscription to the The Times and The Sunday Times is by calling, and wasting 15 minutes on a sales call. It’s sure hitting way to ensure you don’t get customers returning.
