If someone is talking about homelessness and they're not saying anything about keeping ppl housed by preventing them from being evicted in the first place, and building perm. affordable housing - you can discard everything they have to say. Tell them to get in the bin. 🗑️

A Detroit Detroit Free Press columnist who is married to the paid spokeswoman for the group that kicked out Taura Brown is piling on the lies about the eviction. This is getting embarrassing. Taura Brown did live at the tiny home. She also visited her boyfriend at his home, as people do.

In 1999, Michigan shortened the time property owners have to pay their delinquent taxes before losing their property from 5 to 2 years. Smart people of Twitter: How much has this impacted the foreclosure machine in Detroit over the last two decades?

Remember when I told you that Boston is considering rent control and the state lawmakers have to vote on it? Well here’s how that’s playing out: The Boston Globe did an investigation and found that most of the lawmakers are landlords themselves…and predictably won’t support it
