Officers successfully caught a suspect who stole a vehicle, rammed a patrol car and eluded police on I-5 yesterday morning. One patrol car damaged, but no injuries to anyone involved. Committed to relentlessly fighting crime with trust and care!

On Sunday morning, officers on patrol encountered a reckless driver who lost control of their vehicle in front of the patrol car. The driver was taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses, including driving with a suspended license.

Des Moines PD responded to report of2 children potentially drowning in the Marina. Fortunately, it was later confirmed that the children were unharmed and in good condition. As the tide came in and waves began to rise, a family member managed to pull them from the water.

A Silver Alert has been activated for 61-year-old Dennis Bartram, who was last seen around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 8, 2025 in the area of South 244th Street in Des Moines. Bartram, who uses a wheelchair and has both legs amputated, may be unable to return without assistance.
