Elementary Art Instructor Mrs. Peterson is donating her time to teach a Community Education class called "Pottery with Mrs. Peterson." All profits from this class are donated to the elementary art budget. In the first session, students had fun using glaze to paint a ceramic bowl.

Students in Mrs. Thoma's 3/4 Spanish Class learned about the the Cuban raft exodus of the 1990s, and built their own rafts using garbage, then tested them in the "sea" with coins and other objects symbolizing the refugees.

There are lots of cool things happening in the elementary art room! Students are working on dessert food sculptures, which will be showcased at the upcoming Dover-Eyota Elementary Art Show! The Art Show is October 18 from 3:30-7 pm and October 19 from 7:30 am -3:30 pm.

Unfortunately the Eagles were not able to come out with the win last night and the 2022 season is over. We want to thank all of the players, coaches, and parents for a great season! Especially to Coach Hauswald #WizardOfHaus for bringing pride back to the Eagle program.

The Dover-Eyota Eagles Foundation is hosting a Dover-Eyota School Board Candidate Forum tonight (Wednesday, October 26) at the DEHS Auditorium, starting at 6:30 pm.

Earlier this week, D-E Spanish Club members created an "ofrenda" in the front lobby! This is a memorial meant to celebrate and honor the life of those who passed and is a common element in Day of the Dead celebrations.

Friday, November 11, is the end of 1st Quarter. This is a regular school day.

There is no school on Monday, November 14.
