Time for a WSOP tweetstorm. Been missing it big time in what would have been the beginning of my 5-6 week grind. So much is up in the air right now, but as Vegas starts opening up, I choose to be hopeful, so here’s some of my ideas. #wsop2020

1/ how many handed will obv depend on NV but if it gets to 7 or 8, WSOP seems feasible. The schedule will have to change, but seems like 7 or 8 handed full slate or 10ks and high rollers seems fine. Small fields, many naturally shorter handed games #wsop2020

2/ The $1500 mixed slate seems doable as well (I’m biased) but short handed, reasonable fields. The big NL is a problem. Who knows what fields would be but obv the >$1k should be pushed online, perhaps some 6-8 max fields could be held. Another option for large NL.. #wsop2020

3/ start them online and bring them to the Rio for day 3. You can then limit staff and risk, but still have the glory of live final tables. I think you have less tables at Rio, keep each tourney in one room, stagger break times to limit hallway and bathroom congregation.#wsop2020

4/ I think dailies and sattys are unnecessary risk, you want less traffic. Maybe cash games are fine under whatever rules they are being normally run under at that point. You could close the rooms off and eliminate fan walkthrough, maybe only for FT/day 3 area. #wsop2020

5/ seems like we are already ignoring social distancing so barring a big wave and more closure, feels like live poker tourneys are feasible in 4-5 months. I just want it to work. There’s nothing I’d rather do than jump in a $1500 HORSE tomorrow #wsop2020

6/ furthering my fan idea, close the rooms for day 1s when it’s busiest, let them in Amazon for day 2 and onward when people really want to sweat. You’ll obv have tons of cleaning staff, masks required, some plan for bathroom lines, cage lines, etc. #wsop2020

7/ tournament buy in accounts were a dream last year, one cage visit and then only using the kiosks to buy in. Expand or require online registration. I think this is feasible. God I miss live poker and the WSOP. Stay safe, see you soon #wsop2020
