Today, was ‘inaugural day’ for our newly installed University of Derby on-campus #geological mapping facility. Our students did a terrific job utilising a range of outcrops to unravel the geological history of their mapping area.

Today, our University of Derby MSc #GeoEnergy students are at British Geological Survey looking at a range of cores from formations that they will be seeing exposed in the field during their #fieldwork next week.

Day 2 of the University of Derby #GeoEnergy field trip finds us looking at the Coal Measures. Not for coal but as a potential candidate for energy storage.

Today saw the University of Derby Derby Uni GeoEnergy field trip with the MSc Derby Uni Students visit Anglesey. Critical minerals, sediments and even a tiny bit of glaciation.

Day 3 of the University of Derby #GeoEnergy MSc field trip sees a focus on the #CriticalMinerals needed for the #EnergyTransition.
