Yesterday, I was happy to join Secretary Tom Vilsack, National Farmers Union President Rob Larew and National Farmers Union members at the 2024 Fall Legislative Fly-In. While there, I shared how Dept. of Agriculture is committed to better understanding family farmers and ranchers experiences.

After my remarks at the National Farmers Union Fly-In, I stopped by and chatted with young farmers about the future of ag. These folks not only represent the next generation of farming, but also the next round of leaders advocating for farmers and ensuring our nations agricultural system thrives

Today we commemorate the somber events of September 11, 2001, and honor the lives tragically lost. We pay tribute to the passengers and crew of Flight 93, and the brave acts of firefighters, first responders, police officers, and civilians at Ground Zero. #NeverForget

No one should go hungry in America. Last weekend, I joined DC Central Kitchen volunteers and Dept. of Agriculture staff to prep fruit and vegetables for local communities to ensure that they get the nutritious food they need.

As well as growing the relationship with our international partners here at the #G20Brazil agriculture ministers’ meeting, I also planted the seed for a Rubus plant, which is native to North America, with Carlos Fávaro and Paulo Teixeira.
