Yellow-browed Warbler near Penicuik this morning, nearby to Glencorse Kennels. I believe this is the 1st record for Midlothian unless anyone can tell me differently Birding Lothian


Single Snow Bunting on the coastal path at Dunbar this morning and great to see so many Mandarin glowing in the autumn sunshine Birding Lothian


White-fronted Goose still at Temple this morning in amongst the main Pink-foot flock + 4 Barnacle Geese still Birding Lothian



Re-edited some shots from my trip to Israel in 2019 with Phil Jones & Andrew Stirrat and quite happy with the results. Black Bush Robin was the most sought after + Blackstart, Ruppell's Warbler & White-crowned Black Wheatear.



My first Snow Bunting at Musselburgh for a few years, this one seemed very tame all by itself around lunchtime, along the sea wall to the west of the old scrapes Birding Lothian



The Shorelark eventually gave itself up this morning at Barns Ness, although briefly due to several dogs running up and down the beach Birding Lothian




Solitary Sandpiper from yesterday evening at the Butt of Lewis in near darkness. Arrived on site at 20:50 with the bird missing but Mr Pointon pulled it out the hat and the rest is history! A long smash and grab but absolutely worth it BirdGuides


Dotterel still on the summit of Carnethy Hill earlier this morning (20th May) despite first being reported on the 13th Birding Lothian


Western Sandpiper at Maidens in Ayrshire, first thing this morning. It was roosting on the rocky shoreline when I arrived at 06:30 then gave great views as it flew down to the burn and began feeding with the other small waders BirdGuides


Iberian Chiffchaff still showing well this morning at Tentsmuir, Fife till 09:30 when I left BirdGuides


Red-veined Darter, Black-tailed Skimmer, Banded Demoiselle and Azure Damsels from a morning in the Borders BDS Scotland


American Black Tern from yesterday am (31st July) at JMCP. Flew out to sea at 7am after 2 Arctic Skuas chased everything off Spike Island and never returned till 09:30 Birding Lothian
