Property taxes more than doubled in the last 5 years, unless homeowner is capped in with homestead prior to 2020. Many states don't have cap. Right now a new homebuyer at 400k is paying at least 5k per year in property taxes. In 2030 new homebuyer will pay at least 10k per year
