There is a shortage of competent, empathetic therapists that have availability, accept insurance, & are affordable. If you are in Kentucky, you now have a good option! Allison is kind, brilliant, skilled, affordable & has availability. She is essentially a therapist unicorn.

Time for everyone to brush up on our familiarity with the theories and practices of accelerationism. Because we are smack dab in the middle of it.

Shoutout to Westwood Right Project for doing amazing work of expanding inclusive democracy. Dee Wooding (a Kettering Foundation Dayton Democracy Fellow) is a FORCE and I am inspired by the work she is doing with her neighbors in Dayton City of Dayton, Ohio. We can create the world we long for.

Democracy is not a super-exciting thing to most people. What is exciting: I can pay my bills. I can get a job. I will be safe. My kids have decent schools. I won't die if I get sick. Yes, democracy helps get us there, but this is not what excites & inspires most people.

"We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both." –Justice Louis Brandeis Words spoken many years ago that are just as relevant today. We must continue the fight to get big money out of politics.

So excited about the work of Kettering Foundation Dayton Democracy Fellow Taylor Johnson and Spectrum New Beginnings who reminds us that people are able to show up and engage in their communities when they are healthy and connected.

Honored to journey w/my friends & colleagues as we continue the work of creating just, loving, inclusive & democratic communities. Excited to welcome Bishop Barber (Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II) as the keynote speaker to the Dayton Democracy Summit (co-sponsored w/ Sinclair College) on Sept 20!

Democracy is important & we need to be careful to make sure we connect it to what people care most about. “I always say people sitting around the table talking about democracy... It’s probably because they don’t have to worry about the food they have on the table.” -David Axelrod

Fabrice Juin Kettering Foundation Dayton Democracy Fellow from the MVRPC Miami Valley RPC does such great work finding ways to make sure democracy means everyone - everyone is welcome, everyone belongs, everyone has a say. Thanks for your great work Fabrice! Such a pleasure to learn from you!

So excited about all the incredible work Damien Conners (Damien Conners) is doing to connect people & organizations who are advancing & defending inclusive democracy. It can feel overwhelming, but when we work creatively across identities & difference, we can make real progress.

I love the clear way Tom Roberts Kettering Foundation Dayton Democracy Fellow, talks about getting engaged in our communities. I also love that what he says applies to all people, not just the few. Democracy is about EVERYONE being a part of things.

I benefited from many amazing mentors in my life so I am super-excited that Dayton Democracy Fellow Jessica Bloomingdale from The Mentoring Collaborative of Montgomery County is showing us how powerful relationships & young people are as we create the world we want to live in!
