I used to play games for 10+ hours a day. I was proud to stream, and it was fun. It's crazy how either development in the gaming sphere, and/or BTS participation just drains any genuine fun from it all. I haven't played FPS in months, and I have zero desire to. What's happening?

Realism is Arma, Squad, HLL, and other similar games. There's no serious attempt to have realism in MW2, Battlefield, etc, but those games do appeal to a certain demographic that wants to "feel" that it's real, even though it's a total carnival ride. Arcade realism.

Is the current meta for being able to play on non-cheater BFV servers running a script that tanks your stats 24/7 so you can then play a normal game once in awhile? Asking for a washed-up friend who has over 2 K/D and KPM, which is apparently considered impossible.
