Biden's gender gap is addressable. There’s a hardening of MAGA on the right & questioning of priorities, but I don’t see young men rejecting many of values & policies Dems stand for today...it’s not a full-on values problem, which is what GOP has w/ women.

This is a really, really interesting piece. Strongly recommend reading if you care about the youth vote, youth ideology (including gender differences), and policy positions.

Most interesting for me: Changing partisanship =/= different policy views.

John Della Volpe and his team take the sampling, methodology, and weighting of this poll very seriously.

I agree that media members and pundits are all too quick to cite subgroup margins crosstabs and draw erroneous conclusions from them.

This “crosstab diver” reported on 4,000 youth interviews via Harvard youth poll last 5 months, more than 100k in last year via SocialSphere + countless focus groups.

Youth margins flipped 5 states blue in ‘20…GOP wins 45+ voters.

Youth will once again determine election.

Since Columbine, over 400 school shootings – from Newtown to Parkland to Uvalde – have exposed over 370,000 students to the horrors of gun violence.

Students across the country now learn how to duck and cover before they learn how to read and write.

This violence must end.

Final breakdown on Ukraine vote

101 Republicans voted for it.
112 Republicans voted against

210 Democrats voted for it
0 Democrats voted against it

Top three GOP leaders -- Johnson, Scalise and Emmer -- voted for it.
Elise Stefanik, conference chair, voted NO.

Among the many things that David Pryor made better was the Institute of Politics when he served as director from 2000-2002.

He mentored many of the millennial leaders of today -- and without his support in the earliest of days, I don't think we have a Harvard Youth Poll today.

Are immigrants more innovative?

Yup.

Immigrants tend to 1.) make up a higher share of business owners and 2.) operate more innovative and productive firms.

This 'implies [immigrants make] large contributions to U.S. innovation and growth.'
