Yesterday at the Batcher village, the children were disorganized, hungry, and quiet. Their eyes held a kind of lost that nearly drowned me. Today, we did self-care—food, haircuts, photos—and they said they’d miss me. I already do. 🥹 Today was our last day with them! #PMC

We will do good. We will raise good children. We will be good. We will teach goodness. We—the both of us. Living is a community affair.

We did it. We wrapped up all the school residencies yesterday. Your support—both for me and, more importantly, for the children we met—meant the world. It was truly worth it. God bless you, always.

Over the past six weeks, we’ve encountered all kinds of people in decision-making roles—headteachers, guardians, and more. But something struck us deeply on May 14th and again on May 28th. Two schools. Two different local governments. It didn’t stop us, but it did hurt.
