This ignores the fact Newcastle had a deal in place to buy his replacement. Hugo Ekitike. For some reason the team he wants to join decided to gazump them. If Newcastle had bought Ekitike, Isak would be a Liverpool player now. So is his anger is misplaced? #nufc #lfc

Isak statement just makes me think the end of season run was even more remarkable. He just didn’t run for the last three months. Clearly didn’t think he would be here and probably wasn’t that arsed about CL qualification. What a team to do it despite a player with that mindset

What really happened here then? This just proves we literally have no idea what has been going on behind the scenes. Was he their second choice? If so, why still go for Isak? If Ekitike was always our Isak replacement, why did L'pool go for him knowing it would stop Isak sale?

I didn't think it was possible for NUFC fans to be more raging with Isak but this game will have seen to that.

Gutted. Totally undeserved. So proud of our lads, they've all been bloody brilliant.
