A bitterly cold day ahead with highs of just 1C but the easterly breeze will make it feel more like -5C. We’ll see some sunny spells but also some scattered snow showers this afternoon when we have a Met Office warning in place.

Year 7 and Year 8 only. Please share - The KS3 building has no running water and therefore we have been forced to close despite working to ensure the site is safe and free of ice. We are unable to open without running water. Sincere apologies for the disruption.

KS3 Despite a full day working on the problem we have been unable to reestablish the water supply to the KS3 building. As a result the school will be closed to year 7 and 8 students tomorrow. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Reception and Year 1: Unfortunately the school will be shut to reception and Year 1 tomorrow as Castle Academy is unable to open on Friday 2nd March

Due to weather conditions not improving and lack of water in some classrooms we will be closed tomorrow (2nd March). This applies to NIA Primary as well. See you all on Monday.

Phoenix, Meda, Finley, Rio and Charlie from 5C have all gone above and beyond in making a new member of the class, who speaks very little English, feel welcome and involved on his first day at school today. Well done to all of them! True Delapre children!

Still a few places remaining... Residential trip to the Kingswood Centre based in the Peak District in June 2018, FOR YEAR 7. The trip will take place from Friday 22nd – Sunday 24th June 2018. We are asking for a parental contribution of £148.68 which covers everything.

Language of the month is Bulgarian and our very brave Nevina will be visiting every class in the school today to tell them about Bulgaria.
