The middle child in a family of five, he regularly attended dances and loved all kinds of music, especially that of Marc Bolan and T-Rex.

Kevin was just 17 years-old when shot dead as he crawled towards the doorway of the Rossville Flats on Bloody Sunday, 30 January 1972.
