Thank you to Oxford United FC (P) and club captain @jmous21 for calling to see how I am this evening. It’s great to see my club doing so much for the community during these uncertain times. Mous’ call epitomises why supporting my local club (albeit from afar) means so much to me. #OUFC
Great The Football Collective conference at Sheffield Utd. Full of great people/ideas.
Thanks to organisers @DrRob_Wilson & Dan Plumley - special mention to the impressive School of Sport contingent.
Personally, it was nice going to Bramall Lane and not getting legged out the Away End.
As the lights come on at the Bramall Lane pitch, they come down on the Tony Currie Suite and an amazing Day 1 at #FBCSheffield2019
Well done to all the presenters, some fantastic papers on a wide variety of research in football. Looking forward to Day 2 tomorrow.

Excellent paper from Matt Deighan exploring identity politics in NI. Very thought provoking and sparked well-needed conversations in the room.

Not a bad place for a conference is it? Great and varied start to #FBCSheffield2019
We’ve covered women in football, Parisian football, statues and symbolic power, and identity politics in Northern Ireland... and it’s not even lunch yet. Looking forward to the second half ⚽️
Great presentation from my colleague Matt Deighan on identity politics and football in Northern Ireland at the The Football Collective conference. #FBCSheffield2019
