If you're in the market for used D&D stuff, ebay is certainly an option, but building a relationship with DEI Dungeon Explorers on the Internet, Wayne's Books, or Noble Knight Games is a better one. They have reputations to protect, so they are carefule about descriptions. Ebay is hit or miss in that dept.

My Monday night group has spent an hour trying to come up with a strategy to crack G3 Hall of the Fire Giant King. The last two forays have cost an NPC and PC their lives (both raised). There's one way in, the Fire Giants have utterly stymied them. God I love AD&D. #dnd #adnd

YoDanno #DragonlanceDragonlance When TSR was in financial trouble the Blumes used money to buy a needlepoint company from a relative. Because we all know how gamers love to kill dragons while the needlepoint. They eventually gave them to employees as a Christmas bonus.

When traveling in that dungeon crawl, it’s best to have a plan on what to do when a fight breaks out. Of course, you don’t always see it coming, do you? Oh the beauty of it all. Fortune and Glory, kid. πŸ–ΌοΈ Terry Dykstra, D&DΒ Rules CyclopediaΒ by Aaron Allston, TSR, 1991

I've been pondering the differences between a players' guide to a setting and a DMs. How much detail is enough/too much, for each of those. We have so many great examples, from Harn to the various Greyhawk, to FR, and CityState. DMs need more, but TSR books were often player(1/2)

I've seen a thread about Mega-Dungeons where it is assumed they are out of vogue for various reasons, including the assumption that they are slugfests with no continuous story lines. This is my Greyhawk Sewers and Catacombs map which has no less than 6 story lines happening
