In the chemo van today getting my PICC line dressing (no flush again because there might be a clot in there) there was a man who seemed so lovely and he'd been having chemo for 5 years. Can't stop crying about it.

Moral dilemma Thanks Cancer! Would going to the chemo ward Christmas party count as an appointment? It's during working hours and I don't have any leave left...

My appts for next week: insert port on Mon; pre chemo on Tues; first radiotherapy on Weds; radio again on Thurs; chemo in the morning and radio in the afternoon on Fri at two hospitals, so driving to appts on Friday alone is more than 100 miles. Saturday SLEEPING 😴 Thanks Cancer!

Thanks Cancer! Cut, nuke and poison as much as the body and mind can just about tolerate without ending life in the hope of it knocking the rogue cells out first. It’s barbaric and we are thankful to go through the ordeal. It f@kcs us up and we get called inspiring 🤦‍♀️

Exactly this. I'm not the type to use social media usually but the cancer community here helped me immeasurably in the past few months. Ducking out for at least a few days as these toxic posts repeatedly bring me to tears. If you don't have anything nice to say, shut the fuck up.
