Bluesky was a brilliant innovation. A great big recreation of London 2012 for centrists entering their dotage with circular firing squads for the Left. Like one of those care homes where they have replica shops to convince residents they're still interacting with wider society.

Rewilding is a vile concept, the obsession of upper-middles who buy old estates (Knepp a prime example) to shamelessly monetise them. Britain never looked like African Savannah. Many of its parish and field boundaries go back before the Romans, defined by old walls & hedgerows.

Public sector pensions are the great unexploded bomb hidden under the British economy. The sector, massively expanded since 1997, has pensions, like the state pension, paid out of general taxation and spending. Obviously the govt could have set up a pensions fund, investing in

Great framing by the Sun. This stuff is central to a new taxpayer's agenda. This is what we're forced to pay for, and no we did not vote for it. x.com/TheSun/status/…

I’ve also noticed a few people saying about my mate. Yes he is worth millions. Done very well for himself a 50 year old fella from ilford, who owns hundreds of properties in and around London. He’s an entrepreneur and a multi millionaire. But he is also an extremely high tax

Super thread. The Equality Act threatens to turn the finances of local councils, big corporations and beyond into a series of dominoes which plummet one after the other with each successively bonkers court case Time for repeal

I do think Prevent now is essentially unreformable. It's the Eye of Sauron State pushing against slightly different views. The people "enforcing" it will never be reasonable.

Amazing detail in the MAC family visa review -We knew less than half those on this route work -We knew Labour binned plans to tighten the rules -We knew people on disability benefits can sponsor a spouse, subject to a test -Now it turns out: "almost everyone" meets that test! 🙃

61.3% of school pupils in England are White British. In London it is 22.7%, in Birmingham 25%, in Manchester 30.1%. Only 55.56% of births in England and Wales are White British. Such rapid change makes assimilation impossible, threatening the culture underlying our prosperity.

When we buy meat in supermarkets, we can see where it has come from, whether it is organic or not, and often the name of the farmer who reared the animal. It would be great if we could see the method of slaughter as well. Surely very simple.

34% Roma in the census means that this area is probably majority Roma in reality (as census figures always understate Roma populations). What are they doing in Ballymena?
