I have to give a special mention to our amazing child extras from @PQA_Swindon who were so well-behaved. They were polite, listened and acted brilliantly. We were even able to offer a few of them some lines and they stepped up to the mark like little pros !! #extras #shortfilm

Trans women are women. So the idea of casting a woman to play a woman is hardly a "gimmick". 🙄

I think part of the issue is that producers think by casting a trans person in a "classic role" somehow the story suddenly becomes about being trans. It doesn't. The story remains the same. You've just given someone new a chance at telling it.
