In my department, a faculty member is more likely to identify as Alex, Nick, or David, than as a woman. (Nothing against the those Alex's, Nicks or Davids who are great scientists.)

Can’t share this often enough #Riots

As I write this, some poor sod in a hotel room's going to be holding his children close, trying to protect them, listening to the noise of violence and hatred outside. It won't be their first time exposed to it either. That's usually what they're fleeing in the first place.

I am so proud of all my colleagues from all backgrounds, all countries and all faiths who work day in day out to run our NHS. We stand united against Fascism! Hope not hate 💙 RT if you agree.
