I’m trying to get my kids evaluated for ADHD. I have to do a pre assessment for an hour. Then get two teacher recommendations. Then assessment with EACH parent and my child before they will evaluate my child. Getting into college took less time and less effort.

Last year 3.6% of detox referrals made by the Moss Park CTS staff were successful. The other 96.4% of the time they were told their were no detox beds available anywhere in Toronto.

My ex contracted HIV by using a syringe he found on the street. Cutting off harm reduction supplies doesn’t stop drug use. It just makes it less safe. I personally used the same syringe for a year because I had no access. It was barbed and I shared it with three other ppl.

RIP Michael K. Williams. During this #RecoveryMonth, it is so important to remember how essential harm reduction is for people in abstinence-based recovery. Many find themselves returning to use and need help to stay safe, if and when they do. Shame and secrets kill.

Harm reduction 101‼️ Having a designated driver is a good example of harm reduction. Does it enable drinking? Maybe people feel comfortable drinking more because they know they have a safe ride home 🤷🏻‍♂️ But more importantly- if there is no DD, do people choose not to drink?
