WAFL Grand Final. More than 20,000 tickets sold already for this Saturday at Optus Stadium The WAFC believe a crowd of 30,000. The ground’s entire corporate inventory has been sold out and there are waitlists in place. Another great footy weekend, go Bulldogs!

It’s been a great wildflower season in WA. Can anyone help identify this orchid? I came across it in the bush at our farm a few years ago. Assume it is a pure yellow donkey orchid although given the colouring, wondered if it is called something else? Erika Roper 🦜🥔

Great discussion of WA's workforce challenges, and how to ease disincentives for older Australians to choose to work @flashpoint7WA Aaron Morey Dean Nalder “Every country has massive demand for workers… we need to pull all the policy levers to bring people into our workforce."

If Australia had the same workforce participation of over 65’s as New Zealand, we would have an additional 450,000 workers. Treat the extra income tax of working pensioners as repayment of pension don’t penalise them further

This policy is a “no brainer, can’t work out why Gvt not adopting. Keep assets test in place and allow pensioners to work if they choose. 2.9% of Aus pensioners working. 24.8% of NZ pensioners working. Remove penalties, Gvt collect greater income tax to cover cost of pension

We are missing one of the largest and simplest boosts to Australias GDP and I can’t work out why the Federal Gvt doesn’t just let Pensioners work!

75% of businesses paying payroll tax in WA pay the highest payroll tax rate in the country. The budget should address this and make WA the most competitive tax regime in Aust to attract businesses to base here.

Loved playing in Derbies and looking forward to getting down to Freo to watch this one. A great rivalry that should be the best game in years.

Why are fuel prices so high in Australia? It seems that fuel prices have delinked from the cost of oil…..and seems to have been getting worse since refineries around Australia started closing. Maybe an inquiry similar to supermarket chains?

I hear they are forecasting a crowd of up to 7,000 for the Derby on Monday. Looks like weather is improving dramatically. Early start for league at 1:10pm…..will be a great day!
