Today started with planting and ended with carrying gravel for the base of the chicken coop. It was a VERY messy and VERY hard job but I am so proud of the students, they worked so hard!!!! instagram.com/p/CqJbvg5vwBT/…

We kicked off the soils unit with a paint and sip day. The students made tea with their herbs from the garden and made soil paintings. Painting with different soils helped the students learn properties of soil such as color and texture.

It’s been a busy week! We assessed the health of soil in different locations around the school, amended clay soil and planted fall crops. To end the week we had a guest speaker from the state FFA officer team!
