I think this whole field is going to be the next major leap forward in surgery - for quality, training, audit etc. and it needs to happen for open surgery as well. Dealing with the Orwellian challenges is paramount as well.

I am so very sad. Really gutted. He represented the best of what we as surgeons aim to be. His humility, wisdom and humanity were truly remarkable. What a stark reminder of how short our time truly is. May his soul rest in peace. Condolences to his family.
