These type of weird accounts love to post dated images of Detroit. This house hasn’t stood since 2007 and there’s new construction in its place. Besides how weird blaming an NYC candidate for something that happened 20 years ago in Detroit is, I mean… lmao

The cocktail bar atop the Geoffery Hotel in Corktown is a bit overpriced, but the views are splendid. At least I can say I’ve been there now. Next-door, though, the outdoor patio at The Yard is poppin. Would hang out there if 20 years younger.

100 years ago, Henry Ford dominated the auto game through vertical integration. He had all of the components, from steel to glass to rubber, produced at the same complex. Since then, car parts are made all around the world. BYD is using vertical integration to save $$$.

Also, can we not? We don't need to throw billions at automakers to make cheaper cars to compete with China while our infrastructure continues to go underfunded & crumbling. That money should go into better transportation that doesn't require $billions$ of concrete roads.

And people pay good money for parking & a ferry ride to the island. What's stopping the rest of Michigan cities from looking like this?
