Some very exciting news … Plufl has made it to Costco! No better feeling than seeing your product on the shelves after working on it for over 3 years

The tariff news isn't just another headline. It's an existential threat for brands importing from anything from China, products to packaging or basic materials. At Obvi, we've been scrambling since our supplier told us about the tariffs hitting our supply chain. Our team has

A lot of people have asked me how tariffs are affecting us ... The biggest hit? Retail. We were supposed to launch in over 700 doors this year. Almost $10M in GMV. All put on pause or cancelled because retailers can't make any decisions with the uncertainty. Fun times 🙂

Me: Makes a post about how $10M worth of our retail orders were cancelled because of the tariffs Some random employee at Triple Whale (we are a client):

"Eat the tariff between you and supplier" Yeah let me just quickly find a way to absorb a 170% cost increase on my product! I don't think people understand how retail works lmao

We just moved our 30% of our supply chain to Vietnam. They're not quite at the level of China in terms of production capabilities but they're close. Downsides are higher MOQs and longer lead times but their pricing is very competitive. Brands that can make this pivot quickly

"Just manufacture in the US." That’s what many people have told me after I shared that we lost ~$10M in retail orders because of the sudden tariffs. Here's the harsh reality of what it would actually take to manufacture our product in the U.S.: - 3–4x higher costs - Longer

We landed a $300K retail deal with Burger King … All from a LinkedIn message. Here’s how it happened (and why it worked):

our first knockoff just went out of business 😂 they copied our tiktoks, emails, and product launches 1:1 (tried to at least) goes to show that copying is not a long term strategy

Just turned 25 today. Pretty much the equivalent of a grandpa in the online world. Thought I'd have it all figured out by now but I guess that's now how it really works. Still learning. Still building. Still have no idea what I'm doing.

Random CRO agency guy: "I analyzed ur meta ads funnel and here is some advice" Me: "This advice is bad. Did you even look at my funnel? CRO guy: "Actually no. I only looked at the link located in your personal twitter bio." The bar is very low.
