New preprint available (biorxiv.org/content/10.110…)! After showing visual speech benefits in mid- to old-aged individuals for neural speech tracking, we show that the ability to track visual speech is not necessarily better in individuals with degraded hearing, but is independent.

Exciting news! After much hard work, we've finally pushed this manuscript across the finish line. 🎉 Stay tuned for it to appear in Nature Communications! Big congrats to Quirin Gehmacher and friends. Grateful for support from FWF and FFG - Österr. Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft. Department of Psychology, Univ. Salzburg @PLUS_1622

Check out our new preprint! 🧐doi.org/10.31234/osf.i… In a one-of-a-kind manuscript we successfully replicated aberrant auditory prediction patterns in tinnitus using two independent MEG studies. A thread (1/11)

My latest research is now fully published at Hearing Research! 🎉 doi.org/10.1016/j.hear… Check out how we replicated ageing as a risk factor for tinnitus - and how we concluded that the relevant ageing processes in tinnitus are different from neural mechanisms in dementia.
