Erin is now a hurricane with the NHC forecast expecting strengthening to a major hurricane over the next 24-48hrs. #erin #tropicswx

Later this afternoon, I will have to perform some network maintenance on the servers. I will notify when the network goes down. I am anticipating the maintenance to be from ~6-7PM Eastern.

Things are starting to happen with GOES19 data for WxYard!

Overnight testing of my new satellite scripts was generally successful. I have to add some night time masking for noise, but other than that...success!

Stability testing for satellite graphics is going well. No failures!

Alpha stage graphics for GOES19 are going into automation. I will first work on the first 7 channels and then likely finish off with channels 8-10 after I build the alpha version satellite animator. #vtwx #nywx #goes19 Jennifer Hannux Pete Bouchard

Base template for the satellite animator is complete!

I plan to do some network maintenance from 430-445PM Eastern today. The site should not go down, but there will be an interruption in the streaming of data to the web server. I will give another update if the window needs to extend beyond 445PM.

The very first alpha edition of the animator is already worth it. You can clearly see a solid anvil from the tornado warned storm currently in SW'rn Massachusetts #mawx
