Lake Diefenbaker is a multi-purpose reservoir that also supplies water for producing power. WSA and SaskPower work together to provide water to the Coteau Creek power station and produce a reliable source of electricity for the province year-round.

80% of the water in Lake Diefenbaker starts in the mountains. WSA’s informed approach to managing the reservoir means that 93% of the water that comes in eventually flows back out to supply water along the Qu’Appelle system and the Saskatchewan river delta.
