Interruption in grimdark service yesterday due to inappropriate writing weather 🏖 Back on track today with a roaring fire & a storm which are far better writing companions ⛈️

Made some well-dressed new friends at the weekend 🦙

Met this special bird in Cornwall last week when it was demanding scritches from visitors. The red-billed chough is on Cornwall's coat of arms & was extinct as a breeding bird from the region for many years - it has now returned thanks to Operation Chough at ParadiseParkCornwall! 🖤

Had a great time at this Edge-Lit workshop delivered by the fab Tom Toner who had myself, Gav Thorpe Guy Haley John French turn up & enjoy his wildcard system a bit too much. If we simultaneously all publish 'The Neutron Shrews of Shard 7' you'll know who's to blame 😂

In Cornwall it was believed that King Arthur didn’t really die, but was magically transformed into a chough. In Wales & Scotland during the 17th Century, where choughs would also have been, the chough was known as the Crow of Cornwall. Lovely to see! #sff #DissonanceOfBirdSong

If you're enjoying #SpaceMarine2 I highly recommend you to read Deathworlder by Victoria Hayward. Death of a world to Tyranid invasion told from Guard POV. A squad of Catachans (think Rambo) and a Cadian. Beautiful novel and a great entry to the the horror and emotion of 40K.

Recommendation for Matthew Ward (or is it?)! I've learned so much from him on #Darktide40K & #WarhammerVermintide. Anything you like, generally assume he's behind it! He's a darn smart writer & proper craftsman who nails character. He's also a total class act - so do read his books! 🖤
