A fantastic view of Curtiss SB2C Helldivers, assigned to VB-2 from USS Hornet (CV-12) over Saipan (Aug 24, 1944). Ungainly and deeply flawed, the SB2C nonetheless made a huge impact on #WWII's Pacific Theatre. ~7,140 SB2Cs were produced in total.#avgeeks #aviation #aviationdaily
