Justin Trudeau is facing the most serious risk to his continued leadership yet. Hard to know how this will turn out, but he's had trouble reading the room for a long time now. His party lacks confidence in him.

Former Prime Minister Jean Chretien wrote a piece in the Globe & Mail for his 91st birthday. It was a gift to himself and all of us, reminding us of what leadership looks like. I wonder if anyone is recruiting him to run for leader in this upcoming race. He could beat PP.

The interesting part about this question is that it leaves out the other half....eliminate or reduce DCs and the avg property tax paid by residents will increase by as much as 20% next year. Add that to the question then see if they think DCs are too high and should be eliminated

BREAKING: I’m hearing the great Donald Shoup has passed away. Few urbanists can really be called game-changers, but Shoup powerfully changed how we see parking rules and their huge affect on cities. The recent revolution in parking standards was inspired by his great work. #RIP

Farewell to our friend Donald Shoup, the guru who showed how parking can make and break a city. He was decades ahead of his time and we're still trying to catch up with him. The legacy of his life and his times will never expire. parkingreform.org/donald-shoup/

I think the best way to honor Donald Shoup, who just passed away at age 86, is to post 86 days in a row about the ways in which we all pay for "free" parking.

Just a reminder that while some cities are still debating transforming a few blocks of 1 or many 2 streets into places for people, this year Montreal is transforming 11 such streets across 7 neighbourhoods, equalling 9+kms from car spaces to people places. mtl.org/en/experience/…
