Each decade has a different way of capturing light. It is unknown if the light is really different or if something shifts invisibly to a different filter. It’s like the start of a new day or twilight, midday, moonlight, light is always changing, too slow for you to see it.

wouldn't the sculpting of time, be similar to the sculpting of marble, wouldn't curves speed things up or slow things down, wouldn't all carving retroactively shape the past such that to be linear is to have grown out of the material required, such that the past is carved away

Alienated freedom is the terror of silence, the world wraps itself in chains, so it has a reason to shout. Those who are heard, preach a forever war, preachers that can't be in the herd, mount a proxy crusade for a grail that would undermine them, making sure it is never found.

It is unclear what you should do, that is why it is so hard. There is no hard or fast judgement that can give you a direction, you have to bear each choice, as if it’s your first. Any morals you erect will be eroded, but one cannot get lost in the sea, there’s a controlled

We don’t see the image blindly, but rather by already perceiving in every image our 'our economic interests, ideological beliefs and psychological demands'. We only perceive clichés. It is only when we create an imperfect image, that seeks to not use the image as a comparison,

Artists greatest weapon is the unclear image, for it entrances more than the clear one, simply because it asks the viewer to see first and to think second.

Cute Accelerationism is such a great book - a slow read through alongside A Thousand Plateaus. ONE OR SEVERAL CATBOYS > 1914: One or Several Wolves? - Catboys, furries and femboys are rejecting the norms society places on us, they all point to D&G's fluidity of identity. -

My main work will always be theatre and film, philosophy for me is a demon to channel new images. I will never have my characters talk of philosophy or have debates, but rather feed philosophy into narrative structures, the sculpting of time and formation of character.

Any ritual craft decays into art, art becomes an antenna picking up strange signals. A modern art gallery is a slow alien invasion, where encrypted messages, black boxes, appear as art, but were once possessions. What did the artist see to send them mad enough to make this?

It is hard to read a thinker without conjuring, but this conjured thinker is not human, and its only job seems to commit some apparition out of us that forever seeks to make itself real.

We think through others thoughts. A map’s less useful to the map maker, than it is to the traveller. Indeed the map maker needs someone else’s map to even make his map. But he cannot travel using his own map, unless by returning to what he has already discovered.

frayed edges of a quilt that hides the transmitter, frayed on all edges but never falling apart, a centre that stays the same, something that cannot be unwritten, suspended in the unravelling, stitching together, embroidering the past with the future, turning signals into song.

All songs come with a multitude of remixes at different speeds, bits removed, cut up, mixed up, thousands of versions, thousands of different speeds. Music uses future versions as an instrument — you as the listener, you as the artist, preparing for the remix.

The products of time, the scraps of yesterday, the patching up of our past, lacquering our future, a hand-me-down dyed a different Sunday. The future makes value of the past, chops it into threads, weaves into it new values, but look close enough, nothing's changed.
