07/08/20 at 12:05 am: Officer on SR 2 e/b stops car for speeding (99 MPH). 4 young adults + 15 yoa Cleve. boy in car. A loaded .380 cal. handgun found in car. Gun was stolen in S. Carolina in June of 2020. The 15 yoa was held at LC detention center on RSP and weapons charges.

07/22/20 at 10:15 pm: Officer tries to stop car on Truman that was taken in an East Cleveland carjacking. A chase ensued thru Wickliffe + Willowick. Car struck a tree at East 255 + Lakeshore. Driver fled on foot and got away. Detectives have several leads + are investigating.

Patrol officers seized five handguns during traffic stops over the last seven days. Five men charged in the incidents, including two convicted felons barred from possessing guns. One firearm had a defaced serial number.

On 08/11/2020 at about 4:30 pm, detectives and officers see drug activity. Investigation leads to seizure of loaded gun, heroin, cocaine, MDMA, and adderall pills. 2 arrested, including convicted felon.

8-13-20 at 5:00 pm: A detective saw a drug deal and called officers to assist. One suspect fled on foot and was tackled. 3 suspects charged with trafficking drugs, poss heroin, poss methamphetamine, obstructing police and poss needles.

10/15/20 at 10:45 pm: officer checking an erratic driver complaint found ecstacy, marijuana, + a loaded .22 cal. handgun. Driver was convicted felon + was arrested on gun/ drug charges. About 4 hours later, a Euclid Avenue traffic stop led to seizure of about 25 ecstacy tablets.
