The Embankment in Wellingborough has reopened following the controlled detonation of a smoke grenade earlier today. The grenade was found in the River Nene this morning, Saturday, June 28, by a member of the public who called police at 11.50am.

We were invited to do some demos today at the Defence Animal Training Regiment Open Day. We hope everyone enjoyed meeting some of the dogs and seeing the displays!

Emergency services are currently responding to a fire at Kingsthorpe Methodist and Baptist Church, Northampton. Police were called to the incident in High Street, Kingsthorpe at around 5.35pm this afternoon (June 28).

Last evening, SC3830 and I carried out a speed camera shift on Northampton Road in Wellingborough. I am pleased to report that all traffic stayed at and below the 30mph limit. During our shift, several local people stopped by and thanked us for being there. #SSO3131

Evening all. The ASB van is out and about tonight. Briefing completed and our first deployment is to assist colleagues with transportation for a drink driver.

Our ASB van has just visited Oundle. We have carried out several foot patrols and are now heading back towards Wellingborough. We are also paying careful attention to our force communications radio channel as we can be redirected at a moments notice. #SSO3131

Early morning Wellingborough Response shift for me yesterday. 7am start. Very busy shift with many grade grade 1's. One person taken to custody charged was ABH. Busy volunteer week for me. A great challenge for me as always #SSO3131

Our next stop for our team & ASB van was in Northampton town. Backing up Response police officers on NTE. ( Night time economy) A very busy time with party goers involved a fight on Bridge Street which kept everyone very busy. That individual was taken off to custody #SSO3131
