I have signed a letter in disgust over the draconian sentences for climate protestors. What is the bigger crime: destroying our planet for profit, or asking the world to wake up and act? We cannot let this miscarriage of justice stand. Sign here: defendourjuries.org/wtf/

Having trouble sleeping tonight (a regular occurrence) so once more I must turn to the rain videos. This one is particularly beautiful. Especially the bits by the Thames in the middle. youtu.be/eSeWGEr5ACA?si…

Tonight the far right are being sent a clear message by decent communities all across the UK - we are many, you are few. We cannot stop until racism is off our streets, out of our workplaces and banned online. Well done to the tens of thousands standing up tonight.

Just found an ad for one of my favourite comic shops of all time. Only went a few times as it wasn’t local to me but every visit to Forever People in Bristol was magical. I even still have my Fastner & Larson portfolio I bought from there. Was so sad when I heard it closed down.

CEX-y bargain of the day. Slightly worried I’ve turned a corner and am heading into a middle-aged obsession with train spotting but no, fear not. If you’ve never seen it, this film is gorgeous. A real snapshot of another time. Also features a great jazz score by Ron Grainer.

Taking a bunch of comics to ye olde charity shop today. Anyone else remember Mark Millar’s Saviour? The only comic ever to randomly feature Jonathan Ross as the Antichrist. Might have to have a reread of this one before it goes.

Really think someone should do a whole book of the old background scenic paintings from early Doctor Who episodes. They’re absolutely gorgeous in colour. This one depicts Skaro and was used in the William Hartnell episodes of Doctor Who and the Daleks from the 1960s.

Jumble Trail in Westbourne today and it’s as freaky as you would expect. Pouring with rain obviously and this stall presided over by a rather deflated looking motorcyclist man sitting, sunning himself (?), in a deck chair!!

Great ‘almost’ pick up from Emsworth’s free book exchange today. The official Farmhouse Kitchen tv recipe guide from the 1970s. No interest in the book as such but that fabulous theme tune is now stuck in my head for the rest of the day. #EarWorm youtu.be/tCyieuiKr-k?fe…
