Boyle & Garland could've taken the easy path. Instead, 28 YEARS LATER is a sweeping, emotional coming-of-age tale set against the backdrop of that world. The rawness of 28 Days is replaced with gorgeous visual style but the infected are scarier than ever. Love what they did here.

The Best Film of 2025 (So Far) #28YearsLater

Ive read some valid gripes from folks about 28 Years Later from twitter, but I went through some of the negative audience reviews on RT and I feel like a lot of them have either only seen 28 Weeks or hadn’t watched Days in a long time cause Years feels like a truer sequel to it.

I agree. Just greenlight “marginalized” voices & try to get some “representative” voices in the room when the director is not of that background. Any kind of “rule” further than this is just tokenization &I’ve seen it weaponized AGAINST enuff poc artists that I can’t support it.

28 Years Later and Life of Chick gave me reflection on death, they were beautiful human stories. And now I REALLY want to see Superman to balance out those 2 with a reflection on hope and redemption.
